| Adoption and Foster Family Support |
EXTENDED FAMILY NETWORK An “extended family network” meets on The 2nd Tuesday of the month in the gymnasium. This group is made up of foster and adoptive families in the southeast valley and is co-sponsored by the Arizona Association of Foster & Adoptive Parents and Aid to Adoption of Special Kids, AZ. The families attending the group are committed to sharing their success stories, struggles, and resources among other families parenting a non-biological child in the foster care system. Meeting times are from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and child care for preschool aged children is available on a limited basis. There is also a growing e-mail network from the group by which everyone can share ideas, needs, and sometimes just vent! For more information or to RSVP for the next meeting, contact Russ Funk at rfunk@crossroadsnazarene.org or by phone at 480-722-0700, ext. 140. |
