Dan Spaite Romans - Salvation The Book of Romans is the most concentrated passage on the theology of grace faith salvation and holiness in all of Scripture. In it the Apostle Paul points out the great errors that humanity...and the church...have made regarding salvation since the earliest days of Christian history. In the first two chapters we see the highlights of the profound issues that Paul will deal with in detail in the rest of the book. This introductory passage has powerful life-changing messages for believers and non-believers alike. This Sunday we are going to step back to celebrate our life together and evaluate the "State of the Church" as we have journeyed together this past year as well as how we are preparing for the future. The Bible teaches that God's top priority is establishing and growing biblically functioning "missional" communities in the world.  Jesus said "I'm going to build my church." His plan is to prepare and equip His Church to see that the Kingdom of God is on the increase and the power of darkness on the decrease.   Because government education and business can't change hearts we understand that the Church is the hope of the world.  As a clear expression of the Church we need to ask a core question  "How are we going to walk out our vision in tangible ways to demonstrate our love for God love for each other and love for the world" Dave Sharpes CrossRoads Nazarene Church is a movement - a living organism of Christ followers who in every part of our journey together have shown great faith and courageous obedience as a biblically functioning community. Living in that kind of intentionality and obedience requires change. When it comes to change it's great to start the process but vital that we stay on the path of connecting to the true change agent Jesus Christ. We must understand that along with change comes conflict; and when we work through the conflict have the potential to experience amazing growth. But what's next How can we hope to maintain the changes we make as life moves forward Today Pastor Dave will help us start to unpack some practical steps we need to take if we hope to keep the change. Because when it comes to the process that is change we must continue building on the foundation Christ has laid before us. Whether you have children...or hope to someday...the issue of being the kind of person who can pass the faith on is incredibly important.  The spirit of the age is surrounding our children with an ever-increasing set of "options" of how to live their lives and how to prioritize their beliefs and interests.  Almost every Christian parent would agree that the spiritual training of their children is the highest priority in their life.  However there are barriers to this happening.  Many of us are simply too busy or too distracted or too interested in our own pursuits to pass on the faith.  But passing on our faith doesn't happen without intentionality.  In this message Dr. Dan gives four biblical keys to passing on the faith.
