Establishing a connection and sense of community is vital for authentic growth of the Christian life. Our hope is for the people of Crossroads to experience transformational relationships with each other; relationships that connect at the soul level and help lead each other on the narrow way that leads to life. This is true spiritual community; where souls connect, where shame weakens, where sin surfaces, where failure meets grace, where irritations soften, and where holy desire grows.
We offer two types of groups at Crossroads to help facilitate this type of spiritual community; Connect Groups and Community Life Groups. Both types of groups are intentional about:
- providing a place for people’s stories to be told,
- recognizing prayer as foundational and being dedicated to praying regularly,
- caring for and supporting the members of the group, and
- applying biblical truths to everyday life.
One of the best ways to start living in authentic community with each other is through participating in our small groups that we call Connect Groups. A Connect Group is a place where you can engage in spiritual community with others here at Crossroads. We believe those who participate in a Connect Group not only feel a deeper sense of relationship with others in their group, but also more of a connection with the church, with their faith, and with God.
Connect Groups consist of three to six couples or six to twelve individuals who meet in a host home for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, accountability and care. The study time is based on the sermon from the previous Sunday. The group's purpose is to care for one another and help each individual person move forward on his/her spiritual journey. We offer Connect Groups for all "seasons of life."
